Let’s Take It Back is the official kickoff to On The Way to the Cookout, the pre-festival gathering series leading up to Momma’s Cookout & Music Festival. This opening night sets the tone with a nostalgic, feel-good live journey through the golden era of ’90s and 2000s R&B and Hip Hop.
Expect smooth vocals, clever mashups, and nonstop hits from artists like TLC, Usher, Jay-Z, Lauryn Hill, Aaliyah, Justin Timberlake and more — all brought to life by Momma’s Kitchen, Kitchener’s premier live party band. Known for high-energy performances and crowd-favourite sing-along moments, the band blends Soul, R&B, Hip Hop, and classics into one unforgettable live experience.
After the live show, stay for the afterparty – our Throwback Friday’s hosted by TJ, with DJ Whitegold keeping the energy going with the hits you know and visuals to match.
